I figure I can just make time to do what I want to do.

Serious answer? Probably don't stop going to school completely, because it'll be harder to make yourself go back. I honestly knew two people that dropped out of school to go full time on a game. One was WoW, the other was poker. One of them is back in school, and the other I have no clue. Honestly it's not worth it. One or two years is a lot if you think about it. School > *. If you're looking for something to do, join a club or something. Don't throw away your life on this game.
At least finish school before you decide to take a break and play WoW. If anything, go part-time student and take 1 or 2, maybe 3 classes a semester.
I at one point sorta started skipping a lot of classes and ignoring obligations related to class, but that wasnt about playing wow so much as not wanting ot be in my major anymore.
